Study reveals the benefits of MOTOmed cycling on dialysis

Thanks to 21 dialysis centers with over 1,000 dialysis patients and 66 MOTOmed movement therapy devices, the DiaTT study was carried out over a one-year intervention period and important findings were obtained. "With DiaTT the risk factors in dialysis patients can be positively influenced", says University Professor Dr. med. Martin Halle, head of the consortium. Under the supervision of trained therapists, training individually tailored to each patient that included a strength and endurance component using MOTOmed movement therapy equipment was carried out.
The findings demonstrate the role of MOTOmed movement therapy to:
- improve physical performance
- improve quality of life
- decrease in hospital admissions
- partial reduction in hospital stay time
