I am a senior physiotherapist working in a busy hospice on the Isle of Wight. We now have 3 motomed bikes, all of which are in constant use by our patients. We find them to be exceptionally versatile as they can be used by almost all of our patients regardless of their diagnosis or ability.  They are most popular among our motor neurone disease sufferers as they see it as something normal and positive to do at a time when they are experiencing a great amount of loss. Having three also means that we can have a group of people using them which is great for moral and general motivation.  I really do feel that without them we would be far less effective in what we are able to achieve as physiotherapists.
