My husband suffered a severe stroke during September2019 and was at Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen for two months. Towards the end of his stay there he was given the opportunity to use the MOTOmed bike and I took a picture of him on it.  Having seen the picture, a relative of ours said he knew where we could buy or hire such a bike and we went ahead and arranged to do so. He benefited from this in many ways:

• Allowed him to exercise, which strengthened his muscles without    effort whilst watching television. He would cycle for 4-6 miles using his legs and then turn the handlebars and do another two miles using his arms.

• When there was a day without physiotherapy or another appointment it was a great help to exercise.

• It made a great difference to his morale and mental well-being.

• The consultant and physiotherapists say that he is making a remarkable recovery in a short time.
