"We have had the Motomed in our clinic for the last three months and it has been fantastic for all our client groups. It enables people with limited lower limb function to experience reciprocal movement and maintain movement of their limbs and is easily accessible from their wheelchairs. All users are benefitting from it as a means of increasing their exercise tolerance, we have been able to add it to their gym programmes and give them different areas to focus on- the visual feedback from the screen means they can work on symmetry and increasing use of an affected limb or focus on maintaining a certain speed of pedalling. The variation in resistance levels have meant we can build strength training into individual programmes as well and the passive function allows rest periods. The arm cycle brings added value and options for many of our clients. We have had many different groups of clients using it; people post spinal surgery, arthritis patients, people with stroke, MS and Parkinson's. Using it has helped several people regain their fitness and mobility following lockdown in a much quicker timeframe than would otherwise have been possible. We recommend it to other clinics highly."
